Apple Bites That Melt in Your Mouth

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 80 ml milk
  • 30 g melted butter
  • 80 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Sugar for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and slice them thinly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes light and slightly frothy.
  3. Add the melted butter and milk, then mix until well combined.
  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  5. Fold in the apple slices, making sure they are evenly coated with the batter.
  6. Pour the mixture into a small greased baking pan or one lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool before removing it from the pan, then cut it into bite-sized squares.

Secret Tip

Before baking, lightly sprinkle the top with sugar. As it bakes, it will create a thin, golden, crispy crust that makes these apple bites taste just like they came from a traditional bakery.
