All purpose flour β 2 cups
Sugar β 3 tbsp
Yeast β 1 tsp
Salt β 1/2 tsp
Egg β 1
Melted butter β 3β4 tbsp
Lukewarm milk β 220β250 ml (add gradually)
πΉ Step-by-Step Process
Step 1 β Prepare the Dough
In a mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Crack in 1 egg.
Add melted butter and lukewarm milk gradually.
Start kneading and continue for 5β7 minutes until the dough becomes soft and smooth.
Rub a little butter on the dough to keep it moist.
Cover the bowl and let it rest for 30β60 minutes, or until doubled.
Step 2 β Shape the Naans
After proofing, punch down the dough.
Divide it into 6 equal portions.
Grease your hands lightly with oil.
Roll each portion gently into an oval or round naan shape.
Step 3 β Cook the Naan
Heat a pan on medium flame.
Place the naan on the hot pan.
Cook until bubbles appear on top.
Flip and cook the other side until golden brown spots form.
Brush generously with melted butter.
