Materials

1 cylindrical glass vase (thrifted or purchased)1 cup of beige acrylic paint1/4 cup of baking soda Paintbrush Mixing bowlStirring stick or spoonDrop cloth or newspaper

Directions:

Lay down a drop cloth or newspaper to protect your work surface. In a mixing bowl, combine the beige acrylic paint with the baking soda. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it reaches a thick, textured consistency.Using the paintbrush, apply the mixture evenly over the entire surface of the glass vase. Work in sections and ensure each part is covered with a thick coat to achieve a textured look.Allow the first coat to dry completely. This may take a few hours depending on the thickness of the paint.Once the first coat is dry, apply a second coat for added texture and coverage. Let the vase dry completely again.Inspect the vase for any thin spots or areas that need additional coverage. Apply more paint mixture as needed, allowing it to dry thoroughly between coats.Once satisfied with the texture and coverage, let the vase cure for 24 hours before styling it in your home.
