Natural Remedy with Chayote, Guava, and Oregano for Fatty Liver and Obesity: A Complementary Approach

1 liter of filtered water.

1 medium Chayote (approx. 200g), washed and cut into small cubes (with the skin on! That’s where the nutrients are).

10-15 fresh guava leaves (or 2 tablespoons dried leaves) – washed thoroughly.

1 flat tablespoon (3-4 g) of high-quality dried oregano (avoid very fine powder).

Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, when serving, for flavor and more antioxidants).

If necessary, add a suitable sweetener (pure Stevia, Erythritol) when serving. Sugar-free and honey-free!

Preparation (key to maintaining properties):

Bring the water to a boil. Add the chayote cubes.

Reduce heat to low, cover the pot and simmer for 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat. Immediately add the guava leaves and dried oregano. Cover tightly.

Let steep for exactly 10 minutes. (Infusing longer may make the oregano too strong/bitter.)

Strain carefully into a jug.

Before serving, add lemon juice and sweetener (if using).

Use:

Drink 1 glass (250 ml) 20-30 minutes before main meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Frequency: 3 times a day.
