The Canning Recipes: Frozen Eggs Is it possible?
When eggs are on sale, stock up and freeze them for baking, scrambling, or cooking later. A smart way to preserve this pantry staple!
Ingredients
* Fresh eggs (as many as you want to freeze)
Instructions
1. Crack the Eggs Crack each egg into the slots of a clean ice cube tray (one egg per slot).
2. Freeze Place the tray in the freezer until the eggs are completely frozen solid.
3. Package Pop the frozen egg cubes out of the tray. Transfer them to a labeled zip-top freezer bag. Remove excess air and seal tightly.
4. Store Keep the bag in the freezer for up to 3 months (or up to 1 year for best quality).
To Use:
Place the desired number of frozen egg cubes in a bowl and let them thaw at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Use as you would fresh eggs in recipes.
This method is perfect for baking and cooking. No more wasted eggs!
Happy preserving! 🥚❄️
