Think you’re good at puzzles?
Here’s one that looks easy at firstβbut the closer you look, the harder it gets! ππ§©
The picture shows a giant, juicy strawberry made up of puzzle pieces.
But there’s one problem:
One piece is missing!
And your job is to figure out which of the five pieces on the right fits perfectly into the empty space.
You have five choices:
π °οΈ A
π ±οΈ B
π ² C
π ³ D
π ΄ E
Only one will complete the strawberry.
π LOOK CLOSELY!
Don’t choose based on color alone.
All five pieces are red and covered with strawberry seeds, so they can look surprisingly similar.
Instead, pay attention to the shape of the edges.
Look at:
π The curves
π The bumps
π The missing sections
π The little notches
π The direction of the piece
π The strawberry seed pattern
The correct answer has to match both the shape and the appearance of the missing area.
𧩠CHECK THE EDGES
This is where the puzzle gets tricky.
A correct puzzle piece doesn’t just need to fit the open space.
Its bumps have to line up with the empty sections around it.
Its curves have to match the neighboring pieces.
And ideally, the strawberry’s seed pattern should look natural when the piece is placed into the gap.
One wrong curve can give the whole answer away.
π§ DON’T LET YOUR EYES FOOL YOU
Several of the pieces look very similar.
That’s intentional.
You might look at one and think:
“That has to be it!”
Then you compare the edges and notice that one side doesn’t match.
Another piece might have the right shape but the wrong orientation.
And another might look perfect until you notice that the pattern of the strawberry seeds doesn’t continue correctly.
That’s what makes these puzzles so addictive!
π TRY THIS BEFORE YOU ANSWER
Take a slow look at the empty section.
Imagine each piece being placed into the opening.
Ask yourself:
Does the top edge fit?
Do the side bumps and notches match?
Does the bottom edge fit?
Does the strawberry pattern continue naturally?
If even one edge doesn’t line up, you’ve probably found a trick answer.
𧩠THE FIVE CHOICES
π °οΈ PIECE A
A bold piece with several curves and a large opening.
Does its shape match the missing section?
π ±οΈ PIECE B
This one has an unusual notch on one side and a prominent rounded tab.
Could this be the missing piece?
π ² PIECE C
A classic-looking puzzle piece with several rounded tabs and a noticeable opening.
It certainly looks like it belongs on a strawberry!
π ³ PIECE D
This piece has a distinctive shape with several protruding edges.
Look carefully before choosing it.
π ΄ PIECE E
This one has a very unusual combination of bumps and openings.
Could those odd-looking edges be exactly what the strawberry is missing?
π THE SECRET IS IN THE SHAPE
The hardest part of these puzzles is resisting the urge to make a quick guess.
Instead of asking:
“Which piece looks most like the others?”
ask:
“Which piece fits the exact shape of the missing space?”
That’s the real challenge.
π CAN YOU SOLVE IT WITHOUT HELP?
Before checking anyone else’s answer, make your choice.
π WHICH PIECE COMPLETES THE STRAWBERRY?
A, B, C, D OR E?

π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ CHALLENGE YOUR FAMILY
This is a great puzzle to send to friends and family.
Show them the picture and ask:
“Which piece is missing?”
Don’t give them any hints.
Give them just five choices:
A β’ B β’ C β’ D β’ E
Then see who gets it right first.
You may discover that the person who answers in two seconds is also the person who changes their answer three times. π
π§ WHY THESE PUZZLES ARE SO FUN
Missing-piece puzzles force your brain to pay attention to details you might normally ignore.
You’re comparing:
- Shapes
- Sizes
- Curves
- Orientation
- Patterns
- Colors
- Position
Your brain has to take all those clues and decide which piece belongs in exactly the right place.
And when you finally spot it, there’s a very satisfying:
“AHA!” moment. π
π FINAL CHALLENGE
Take another look at the strawberry.
Forget the color.
Forget which piece looks prettiest.
Forget which one catches your eye first.
Focus only on the edges.
