Classic Homemade Cheeseburger Recipe

Instructions:

1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with oil. Cook the burger patties for about 4–5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your preferred level.
3. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
4. Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a separate pan until crispy. Place it on a paper towel to remove excess grease.
5. Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the skillet until golden and warm.
6. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard together to create a simple creamy burger sauce.
7. Spread the sauce over the toasted buns. Add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles or cucumber, and the cheesy burger patty.
8. Top each burger with crispy bacon and the other half of the bun.
9. Serve immediately with fries, potato wedges, or a fresh salad.

Tip: For the juiciest burgers, avoid pressing down on the patties while they cook, as this can release the flavorful juices.
