Step 1: Shake or brush off any loose dirt from the socks before soaking.
Step 2: Fill a basin or bucket with enough warm water to completely cover the socks.
Step 3: Add 2 tablespoons baking soda to the warm water and stir until dissolved.
Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon dish soap and mix gently.
Step 5: Add 2 tablespoons hydrogen peroxide and stir again to combine everything.
Step 6: Place the dirty white socks into the mixture. Push them down so they are fully submerged.
Step 7: Let the socks soak for 1–2 hours. If they are very dirty or heavily stained, soak them overnight.
Step 8: After soaking, rub the stained areas together with your hands or use a soft laundry brush to loosen any remaining dirt.
Step 9: Rinse the socks thoroughly with clean water until all soap residue is removed.
Step 10: Wash the socks as usual by hand or in the washing machine.
Step 11: Give the socks a final rinse if needed.
Step 12: Hang them outside to dry. Sunlight can help keep white socks looking brighter.
Extra Tip: Avoid mixing vinegar with hydrogen peroxide in the same container. If you want to use vinegar, use it as a separate rinse after washing and rinsing out the hydrogen peroxide mixture.
